  • Life can look like it's working on the outside while feeling exhausting on the inside. Individual therapy gives you a place to talk honestly about what's going on, better understand yourself, and work through the things that are keeping you stuck. I help adults navigate anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and difficult past experiences so they can feel more grounded, confident, and connected in their everyday lives.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Flash Technique are therapy approaches that help your brain process difficult experiences that may still be affecting you in the present. Sometimes stressful, overwhelming, or painful experiences can get "stuck," causing anxiety, depression, self-doubt, strong emotional reactions, or patterns that don't seem to make sense.

EMDR and Flash help your brain and body reprocess these experiences so they feel less emotionally charged and no longer have the same hold on your daily life. Many people find that memories that once felt overwhelming become easier to think about, and the negative beliefs they carry about themselves begin to shift.

  • Bariatric surgery is a significant life change that involves much more than physical health. The emotional, behavioral, and lifestyle adjustments that come before and after surgery can be just as important to long-term success.

As part of the pre-surgical process, many bariatric programs require a psychological assessment. These evaluations help determine readiness for surgery by exploring factors such as mental health history, eating patterns, coping skills, expectations for surgery, and available support systems. The goal is not to "pass or fail," but to identify strengths and address any areas that may benefit from additional support before surgery.

Therapy can also be helpful both before and after surgery. Before surgery, we may focus on preparing for lifestyle changes, building healthy coping strategies, exploring your relationship with food, managing anxiety about the procedure, and creating realistic expectations for the recovery process.

After surgery, many people experience unexpected emotional challenges alongside the physical changes. Therapy can provide support as you adjust to a new relationship with food, navigate body image concerns, manage stress without relying on previous coping mechanisms, and adapt to changes in relationships, identity, and self-confidence. For some, weight loss may also bring up unresolved emotional experiences that have been difficult to address in the past.

Whether you're preparing for surgery, completing a required assessment, or seeking ongoing support afterward, therapy can help you navigate the emotional side of the bariatric surgery journey with greater confidence, self-awareness, and resilience.

  • Session fees range from $225-$300 for 45-60 minute therapy sessions.

Bariatric pre-surgery assessments are $375 for a 75 minute appointment.
